Dragon Fly Roses

Sold by stem. Color: Coral peach *** Dragon Fly is the coral that keeps turning up in garden-style design work. Bred by De Ruiter, it carries 80 to 90 petals in a head that opens far wider and flatter than a hybrid tea, from deep coral at the centre out to a softer peach at the edges. It ships closed and needs warmth and room to open, which is exactly how you want a bloom this full to arrive. Dragon Fly Rose Technical Specs Bud Size 5 - 5.5cm Stem Length 40 - 70cm Vase Life 10 - 12 days Petals 80 - 90 Colour Coral peach Dragon Fly Roses — Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat colour is Dragon Fly? A coral peach: deeper and pinker in the centre, softening toward the outer petals. The breeder classes it as peach; most florists describe it as deep coral. How many petals does it have? 80 to 90, one of the highest counts we ship. That is what gives the wide, cupped, garden-rose face once it opens. How long do Dragon Fly roses last? 10 to 12 days in the vase. With this petal count the bloom needs time and warmth to open, so plan on a two to three day window between delivery and the event. Our rose care guide explains conditioning. Is it a true garden rose? It is bred as a standard cut rose but sold and designed with as a garden rose, because of the petal count and the open cupped form. It is far more robust in transport than a true garden variety. Is there a yellow version? Yes. Golden Dragonfly is our colour sport of this variety, grown to the same specification in gold and cream. How do I order Dragon Fly roses wholesale? By the stem, bunched in 25s, in quarter boxes of 100 or 125 stems and half boxes of 250 or 300. Cut to order and shipped direct from our Ecuadorian farms by UPS or FedEx in 3 to 5 business days, with shipping charged per box at checkout: $34 a quarter box, $47 a half box.
