Coming this summer! Preorder today. "I am not one thing." How did you grow up to be who you are? What transformations and expansions of identity have you experienced over your lifetime? Our identities are myriad. Sibling. Child. Professional. Creative. Inward dialogue. Outward expressions. Shaped by our environments. Shaped by our spiritual cores.  Drag Queen Preacher is a deep reflection on being. In poetic snapshots, R. R. Tavárez—pastor, urban farmer, artist, advocate, drag queen—reveals the complexities and rich beauties of a multi-faceted identity. "Tavárez's work is a guide through these horrors [of poverty and racism] to find fulfillment and awareness. [Drag Queen Preacher] opens doors to new revelations despite setbacks, with the ensuing determination to find love and share it with others." ~ David Cope, Grand Rapids Poet Laureate (2011-2014) Drag Queen Preacher is a memoir-in-poetry about culture, family, queerness, resistance, and faith.
