With a retro-inspired design, rugged off-road capability, and powerful turbocharged engines, it honors the decades of tradition while delivering the reliability and versatility needed for today’s adventures. However mighty and capable the new Bronco is, it uses a drive-by-wire gas pedal like all modern vehicles. The DBW gas pedal has an initial throttle lag, making the off-the-line performance sluggish no matter how powerful the engine is under the hood. Pedal Commander® throttle response controller eliminates throttle lag by tuning the DBW signal. With four driving modes (Eco, City, Sport, Sport+), each with nine adjustable levels, you get 36 ways to customize your Bronco’s gas pedal response. Plus, you can get the best add-on vehicle security system: Pedal Commander®’s Anti-Theft feature. Super easy to install and use, Pedal Commander® is the ultimate Ford Bronco upgrade, for enhancing both performance and security. WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG? When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. All of this process causes a delay called throttle lag. Besides, manufacturers deliberately leave the delay there because it makes the vehicle suitable for various types of drivers. Some may need such precautions, but the delay may become frustrating in some scenarios. Pedal Commander® is the easiest and most effective solution for Ford Bronco drivers who want power instantly. HOW DOES PEDAL COMMANDER® IMPROVE YOUR VEHICLE? Most modern drive-by-wire throttle systems have some delay to suit a wide variety of drivers. Some may need such safety measures, but for those who don’t, Pedal Commander® comes in as the easiest and most effective solution. Pedal Commander® enhances your Bronco’s power delivery by removing the throttle delay, allowing you to use your vehicle's full potential from the moment you press the accelerator. The instant power delivery will transform your off-roading experience. You will also be able to fine-tune the throttle for different situations. Pedal Commander® can also be programmed to decrease the throttle sensitivity. A slower throttle response will give you precise vehicle control on muddy surfaces, wet trails or crawling over rocks, with a slower power delivery. WHY CHOOSE PEDAL COMMANDER®? If you’re into upgrading your off-roader, you must know a thing or two about throttle response controllers.
