Our “Down The Crabtree” book is a historical review of North Carolina Mining and Mines by Robert J. “Bob” Schabilion.  Bob was the founder of Emerald Village and the North Carolina Mining Museum. This 8.5″ x 11″ paperback book contains 179 pages of meticulously researched data.  It is extensively illustrated and contains a wealth of information not available elsewhere.  Topics covered include the Emerald Village Mines, other area mines including the Crabtree Emerald Mine, and historical mining lore relevant to this mountain area.
