Down Right Awesome Crew Socks Our Down Right Awesome Socks honor the contributions, achievements and struggles of people with Down syndrome. We donate 10% from the sale of every pair of these socks to support Down syndrome. The money goes to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and the Association for Children with Down Syndrome (ACDS).  The 3-21 represents both World Down Syndrome Day (March 21) and the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome carry. Most of us are born with 23 pairs of chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome are born with a full or partial extra copy of chromosome 21, thus 3-21. Did you know? John's Crazy Socks was co-founded and inspired by John Cronin, a young man with Down syndrome.
