Active Doughlores Sourdough Starter

This sourdough starter was made my Mermaid Tracy and is much more than a simple leavening agent; it represents a rich tapestry of history, culture, and science. The vigorous yeast culture that thrives on both wheat and rye grains not only enhances the art of baking but also serves as a reminder of the shared heritage that binds communities together. As we continue to explore and celebrate the complexities of sourdough, we unlock not just the secrets of its fermentation but also the profound stories that it carries through time. Purchasing a LIVE WET active starter will allow you to reactivate it using the instructions Mermaid Tracy will supply.  What you get is:  25g + active Fresh (LIVE) Sourdough Starter with complete instructions how to care for it. It will need to be feed and put into a jar as soon as receiving it. We recommend an airtight lid. Extra information:  Please feed her ASAP and give her time to double and she is ready to use.  She is made with unbleached white flour and spring water.  You can bulk your starter up to any size you like.    We recommend starting your starter in the morning.  If you start at night, you will miss the starter's peak rise which is the ideal time to use it to bake...that is unless you're a night owl and plan to bake throughout the night :) Please note: Sold as 25g of active starter in a plastic container with a lid with instructions for local pickup only.  For Shipped active starter item will be shipped in two zip lock bags for extra protection.  Extra things seen in photos like spatulas, jars, etc are not included.   Have fun baking amazing sourdough bread weekly with this starter.
