Dark Purple Flowers: Rich blooms appear from late spring into early summer and stand out against the bright foliage. Compact Growth: Its smaller size fits easily into borders, foundation beds, and tight garden spaces. Great for Mass Plantings: Plant several together for a bold sweep of changing color. Container-Friendly: Grow it in a large pot to brighten patios, decks, porches, and entryways. Pollinator-Friendly Blooms: The flowers help attract bees and other helpful pollinators to the garden. Red, Orange, and Yellow Foliage on One Shrub The standout feature of Double Play® Candy Corn® Spiraea is its colorful foliage. Fresh spring growth appears candy apple red, then shifts to orange before maturing to bright pineapple yellow. Because new leaves continue to emerge, you can often see several colors on the plant at the same time. Dark Purple Flowers Add Even More Color From late spring into early summer, clusters of deep purple flowers appear above the bright leaves. The dark blooms create strong contrast with the yellow, orange, and red foliage, making Double Play® Candy Corn® one of the most colorful spiraea choices for the landscape. A Compact Shrub for Smaller Landscapes Double Play® Candy Corn® stays naturally compact, so it adds bold color without taking over the garden. This makes it a smart choice for smaller yards, foundation plantings, walkways, mixed beds, and other places where a large shrub may not fit.
