Double Jointed Stainless Steel Roller Fixed Gag

The Double Jointed Stainless Steel Roller Fixed Gag Bit features a double-jointed mouthpiece for even pressure distribution, greater mobility, and improved comfort, combined with a stainless steel roller that encourages tongue engagement and discourages leaning. The fixed gag design provides gag action in a more stable setup than a loose ring gag. Ideal for horses that benefit from lift that supports balance and head carriage, while going well with a double-jointed roller mouthpiece and a fixed cheekpiece. Key Features of the Double Jointed Mouthpiece : Even Pressure Distribution: The two joints with a center link reduce palate pressure and distributes contact more evenly across the tongue, bars, and corners of the mouth. Tongue Pressure Variation: The size and shape of the center link influence how much tongue pressure is applied, making it adaptable for horses with different mouth conformations. Greater Mobility: The design allows the mouthpiece to move more freely than a single joint, improving comfort and reducing resistance in many horses. Key Features of the Stainless Steel Roller: Encourages Interaction: The movable stainless steel roller invites the horse to engage with the bit, helping keep the mouth active and attentive. Promotes Tongue Engagement: The rolling action encourages the horse to interact with the bit using its tongue, which may improve focus and mouthing. Discourages Grabbing or Leaning: The roller’s movement can make it harder for the horse to lock against or lean on the bit, promoting a lighter, more supple connection. Fixed Gag Design Features : Encourages Responsiveness : Even with the added lift, the design encourages smooth communication between the rider and horse, helping the horse stay engaged without tension. Consistent Lift : The fixed gag cheekpieces provide consistent lift without any sliding action giving riders steady control. Added Lift : The gag action applies upward pressure, encouraging the horse to lift its head, making it ideal for horses that tend to be heavy on the forehand.
