The details of the position were vague, and the strange interview was held in a random hotel room, but according to her she was "up for anything at that point."   In just a few weeks, Dot learned Japanese and became an expert cryptographer. She even knew that the Japanese had surrendered before President Truman did. This job was very hush-hush, so Dot and her coworkers were threatened with espionage punishable by life in prison.   In 2017, after the NSA declassified everything, Dot was eventually convinced to tell her amazing story which can now be enjoyed for generations to come.   The Dot is a special handbag. Not only does it pay homage to an incredible woman, it also empowers military spouses today.
