Dos Manzanas

INFORMATION TASTING NOTES VARIETIES The very first micro-lot of coffee has been harvested from our little two-apple farm in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. It's not much. One-hundred twenty pounds green, at most. That's a meager yield from 5,800 trees. Next harvest I'm expecting 3 to 4,000 pounds, so we're just getting started. It's exciting to see the coffee trees growing up and looking like a real farm. I'm selling this inaugural coffee as an entry-point to the club. To be honest, it's not great. Our young farm manager, Roman, grew up in commercial coffee and is still learning the ropes to producing excellent specialty coffee. Without proper supervision during harvest, he picked the coffee before it achieved adequate ripeness, so the sugars hadn't developed properly and the coffee didn't ferment enough to bring out the aromatics I was expecting. It is a natural, but any fruity notes are muted. HERE'S THE DEAL: This will be your chance to put your name on the farm, literally. With your purchase, we'll send you a personalized, signed and numbered certificate entitling you to one coffee tree on our farm. On my next visit, I'll take a tag with your name on it and zip-tie it to the trunk, take a photo, and send it to you. You'll also be added to an exclusive Dos Manzanas email list giving you quarterly farm reports and notes on current issues (like shipping problems and tariffs). And of course, you'll receive one pound of coffee from this very first micro-lot. We are working on other opportunities and offers for you in the future, including a trip to the farm, live events, etc. Join the club!    WALNUT     MAGNOLIA     MILD PEACH H3
