Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur Chopin Rye Vodka Real Dark Chocolate All Natural No Artificial Ingredients 18% ABV 750ml

Most chocolate liqueurs are flavored. Dorda is not. Where competitors rely on artificial cocoa flavoring, synthetic sweeteners, and neutral grain spirits of anonymous origin, Dorda Double Chocolate begins with actual melted dark chocolate — real cocoa solids, not extract — and blends it with Chopin Rye Vodka, one of Eastern Europe's most awarded and respected craft spirits. The distinction is immediately apparent in the glass: where flavored chocolate liqueurs deliver a one-dimensional, candy-sweet impression, Dorda delivers something considerably more sophisticated — a genuine bittersweet chocolate character, a velvety texture that real cocoa solids produce and nothing else can replicate, and a rye vodka backbone that adds spice, structure, and a pleasant warmth beneath the sweetness. Named after the Dorda family — the same family behind Chopin Potato and Rye Vodka in Krzesk, Poland — Dorda Liqueurs represent the family's extension of their farm-to-bottle philosophy into the liqueur category. No artificial ingredients, no shortcuts. The result is a chocolate liqueur that earns its place both as a standalone sipping indulgence and as one of the most versatile bartender ingredients available in the category. Mixologists and pastry chefs alike have embraced it — and once the distinction between real chocolate and flavored chocolate is tasted, the choice becomes obvious. Origins & Craftsmanship The Dorda family founded Chopin Spirits in Krzesk, Poland — a boutique, family-owned, farm-to-bottle distillery that sources its raw ingredients directly from local Polish farmers and distills its vodka using traditional craft methods. Chopin Rye Vodka — the base spirit of Dorda Double Chocolate — is made from 100% Dankowskie Gold rye, a premium Polish variety, and is four-times distilled before being triple filtered through charcoal. It is one of Poland's most consistently recognized craft vodkas, earned through decades of competition success. Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur is a direct expression of the family's wider philosophy: the finest available ingredients, no artificial additions, and the patience to do things properly. The liqueur is produced by blending Chopin Rye Vodka with a double measure of real dark chocolate — actual melted cocoa, not flavoring or extract — creating what the family describes as "a double helping of the finest dark chocolate." That dual chocolate commitment is the origin of the "Double Chocolate" designation: both dark and milk chocolate contribute to the final flavor profile, with the dark chocolate delivering the bittersweet intensity and depth, and the milk chocolate adding the creamy, rounded sweetness that balances the whole. No artificial flavors. No artificial preservatives. Bottled at 18% ABV — high enough to carry the chocolate character with genuine presence, accessible enough to remain a versatile mixing ingredient and an approachable neat sipper. Tasting Profile Nose Rich, immediate, and unmistakably genuine — the nose of real dark chocolate ganache rather than flavored confection. Dark cocoa and chocolate truffle lead with depth and confidence, followed by a creamy, vanilla-kissed sweetness that softens the bittersweet edge into something deeply inviting. A faint rye spice from the Chopin vodka base threads beneath the chocolate — barely detectable, but providing structure and preventing the nose from reading as purely sweet. The overall impression is of a high-quality chocolate shop rather than a candy bar — sophisticated, aromatic, and genuinely indulgent. Palate Silky, full-bodied, and precisely as described: velvety in texture in a way that only real cocoa solids produce. Dark chocolate arrives first — bittersweet, intense, and coating — giving way quickly to the milk chocolate's gentler sweetness and a layer of vanilla cream that rounds the whole mid-palate. Rich cocoa and sweet cream cycle through together in a balance that is generous without becoming cloying. The Chopin Rye Vodka foundation delivers a subtle warmth and a light rye spiciness at the close of the palate — a slightly spiced finish that distinguishes Dorda from cream-based chocolate liqueurs and adds genuine adult complexity. The mouthfeel is the defining characteristic: thick, silky, and coating in a manner that only real chocolate achieves. Finish Long, smooth, and deeply satisfying. Dark chocolate truffle and fudge notes linger well past the swallow alongside a whisper of vanilla and the rye vodka's characteristic warmth. The finish is bittersweet rather than cloying — the dark chocolate's natural tannin drying the palate gently and cleanly rather than leaving a sticky, artificial sweetness behind. Inviting, balanced, and deeply pleasurable from first pour to last.
