Doorking 1815-380 Proximity Reader - HID

HID ProxPoint Plus Proximity Reader Module for DoorKing 90 Series Systems The DoorKing 1815-380 is a genuine DoorKing replacement HID proximity reader, commonly identified as the HID ProxPoint Plus. It is designed as an internal reader module used in DoorKing commercial telephone entry platforms, providing card-based credential access while keeping the reader protected inside the entry system housing. This reader supports a typical up to 3-inch read range, making it well suited for controlled entry points where users present an HID-compatible proximity credential to request access. In a DoorKing setup, the reader transmits credential data to the system’s access controller logic, which then determines whether to grant access and activate the appropriate output (gate operator, door strike, or relay). A key detail for this part is its intended placement: the 1815-380 is built to fit inside DoorKing 1830 90 Series commercial telephone entry systems, integrating cleanly behind the faceplate or designated reader area. This internal mounting helps reduce exposure to weather, vandalism, and tampering compared to exterior-mounted readers.
