Donner's Snow Guardian

Captured from above, the rotary snow plow powers through deep snow on a high bridge at Donner Summit. This rare sight only happens under extreme snowfall conditions, a reminder of the relentless winter challenges in this rugged terrain. The train’s powerful blades carve through the snow, sending clouds of ice flying, while the towering trestle bridge emphasizes the scale and isolation of this seldom-seen operation.
