Don Julio Reposado Tequila 750ml

Don Julio Reposado is the expression that sits at the heart of the Don Julio portfolio — the bridge between the bright, agave-forward crispness of Blanco and the deeper, wood-driven complexity of Añejo. Aged for eight months in American white oak barrels in the Jalisco Highlands, where the altitude and mineral-rich volcanic soil produce a more intensely flavored agave than lowland growing regions, Don Julio Reposado achieves the balance that defines great reposado tequila: fresh agave brightness preserved, with a gentle oak warmth layered on top. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave hand-selected from the red clay-rich highlands by Don Julio González himself — who founded the distillery in 1942 at just 17 years old — and distilled at Tequila Don Julio, S.A. de C.V. in Jalisco, this is a tequila equally at home sipped neat, on the rocks, or in an elevated cocktail. Its golden amber color, silky texture, and long warm finish have made it one of the most decorated and best-loved reposado tequilas in the world. Don Julio Blanco is unaged and bottled immediately after distillation, showcasing the purest expression of Blue Weber Agave character. Reposado spends eight months in American white oak barrels, which softens the spirit, adds warmth, vanilla, and gentle oak notes, and gives it a golden color. Reposado is the more versatile expression — complex enough to sip neat, smooth enough for any cocktail. Why is Jalisco Highland agave different? Blue Weber Agave grown at altitude in the Jalisco Highlands develops at a slower pace in cooler temperatures and mineral-rich volcanic soil, producing a more intensely flavored and naturally sweeter agave than lowland plants. Don Julio has farmed the same highland plots for generations — the terroir is as intentional as the distillation. What cocktails work best with Don Julio Reposado? Don Julio Reposado is a natural in a Reposado Margarita, Paloma, Tequila Old Fashioned, or Tommy's Margarita. Its eight months of oak aging adds depth to any cocktail while still letting the agave character come through. It's also excellent simply on the rocks with a salted rim and lime.
