Domino Noir Bearded Iris Dramatic Black & White Bicolor | French-Bred Tall Bearded Iris

Few irises make an entrance quite like Domino Noir. Bred in France by renowned hybridizer Richard Cayeux, this extraordinary Tall Bearded Iris creates a striking contrast between pure white standards and exceptionally dark, nearly black falls. The effect is crisp, sophisticated, and unmistakably dramatic—reminiscent of the black-and-white domino that inspired its name. The dark falls have remarkable depth, appearing almost velvety against the luminous white upper petals. From across the garden, Domino Noir immediately catches the eye; up close, the contrast and elegant flower form are even more impressive. Blooming in midseason on approximately 33-inch stems, Domino Noir is a beautiful choice for perennial borders, dedicated iris beds, and dramatic black-and-white garden designs. Pair it with white flowers for a sophisticated monochromatic planting, or surround it with deep purples, burgundies, and silvery foliage for an unforgettable display. For gardeners drawn to flowers that are a little unusual, a little dramatic, and impossible to overlook, Domino Noir belongs in the collection.
