The definitive ultra-deep sampled (UDS™) recreation of Manfred Fricke’s mono bass synth masterpiece. Four custom CAF models. Every volt accounted for. Best described as the true modern equivalent of the infamous Mini D. Monophonic in Berlin. Polyphonic in Soundpaint. Built in Berlin, 2014. While the rest of the synth industry turned increasingly digital towards DAWs and softsynths, Manfred Fricke went contrarian, against the stream. Fricke worked directly out of his workshop. He had zero interest in ephemeral software trends or polite retro clones. His obsession was raw, real, discrete analog: true electrical heft, tactile instability, and pure voltage. A statement of power and life in the sound. Dominion 1 is a bass synth, no doubt. Yet equally sweet and juicy at cinematic arps, expressive keys, and soaring leads. Fricke engineered the Dominion 1 with the rare authority to command the dead center of the foreground or melt effortlessly into the background of a mix. Dominion 1 Virtuoso includes over 110 expertly crafted programs designed by Chimy and Tro//z Folmann, drawn from 16,884 pristine UDS™ multi-samples. Powered by Soundpaint V’s new lossless compression format, the entire collection arrives in an ultra-lean 5 GB download. You get instantaneous load times, zero system drag, and complete preservation of the hardware's kinetic electrical response.
