Dominican Blue Amber Bead Sphere Pendant Necklace

I added a 925 silver wire spiral bail to a reconstituted blue amber 14mm round bead. Comes with a 24 inch silver filled chain. This type of amber is only found in the Dominican Republic. It is called blue because it glows blue/green under UV light. Although it is an organic material, amber is valued as a gemstone. It can protect against negativity and is often used by healers to detoxify the body from certain types of radiation. Keep a piece of amber near your computer to protect against harmful emissions. Amber has been used since antiquity in the manufacture of jewelry and ornaments. A gift of amber is a gift of healing. Dominican amber can be found in many colors, including the more common gold color, as well as red, green, and the rare blue amber. Amber from this region is believed to be over 25 million years old. Reconstituted amber uses tiny pieces of real amber that are too small to make into articles of jewelry. The pieces are immersed in oil and heated in a vacuum chamber to clarify them. The resulting amber can then be formed into beads and other jewelry items. They still retain all of the properties of genuine amber.
