Domaine Daniel Dampt Chablis

Domaine Daniel Dampt Petit Chablis 2024 captures everything people love about true Chablis—purity, minerality, and that unmistakable sea‑sprayed freshness. Sourced from vineyards around Milly and Beines, this stainless‑steel‑fermented Chardonnay leans into clarity rather than oak, letting terroir speak loudly. The 2024 vintage shows remarkable vibrancy, with citrus and orchard fruit wrapped around a tight mineral core. It feels energetic from the first sip, almost electric, yet never harsh. There’s a quiet elegance here, the kind that sneaks up on you as the wine opens. If you crave crisp, mineral‑driven white Burgundy, this bottle delivers the real thing with confidence and charm. Tasting Notes: Nose: The nose bursts with green apple, lemon zest, and fresh pear, each note landing with bright precision. White flowers drift in, adding lift and a gentle aromatic halo. Oyster shell and wet stone emerge slowly, revealing the classic Kimmeridgian limestone signature that defines authentic Chablis. Palate: The palate is crisp and medium‑bodied, driven by citrus, green apple, and subtle orchard fruit. A pronounced mineral backbone keeps everything taut, giving the wine its signature Chablis tension. Saline freshness threads through each sip, echoing the region’s cool climate and marine soils. Finish: The finish is long, dry, and beautifully refreshing, carrying notes of citrus peel and crushed stone. A whisper of oyster shell lingers, adding complexity without weight. It closes with clean precision, inviting another sip almost immediately. Food Pairing: This Chablis shines with oysters, scallops, and grilled prawns, where its acidity sharpens delicate flavors. Sushi, sashimi, and lean white fish mirror its saline edge, creating a seamless match. Goat cheese offers a tangy counterpoint that highlights the wine’s mineral drive. For something comforting, try simple roast chicken—the wine’s brightness cuts through richness effortlessly.
