Dolomite (50 lb)

Use dolomite for liming low pH soils which are low in calcium and magnesium. Dolomitic rock is sedimentary rock originally from Northern Italy high in calcium magnesium carbonate.  This agricultural dolomite has 21.8% calcium and 11.6% magnesium Rates vary from 1-10 lb/100 sq ft or 500-4,000 lb/acre) depending on soil analysis It is not a good choice for California foothill soils which are high in magnesium. Use oystershell lime or mined limestone instead.
