The transmitter is 12% slimmer than earlier EDGE models and has a rubber grip for one-handed use. The quick-access side buttons let you change stimulation level without breaking your eyes from the dog. The 10-level stimulation selector dial keeps the system simple, and the Low/Medium/High Combo Boost gets you a major level jump in one press when you need it. Audible Tone and XPP Pager Vibration give you communication tools beyond stimulation, which matters in retriever work where conditioning is doing as much work as correction. The dual-sided 1000 LUX LED locate lights are visible at distance for low-light marks and dawn or dusk training sessions.
