A sweet Willamette Valley native, Shooting Stars have purple reflexed petals and a black "mosquito bill" (another of its common names), and pale green leaves in a basal rosette. Tall flower stems carry these spritely, nodding, purple lovelies that can naturalize via seed to create drifts in dappled shade. Summer dormant; so winter moist, summer dry. Mature size: 10-inch tall flower spikes; leaf rosette 2-3 inches W Please choose a shipping date between August 1 - April 1. Foliage is too tender to ship while actively growing. Minimum temperature: -10° F
