Doc Clay's Cleaning Kit

Doc Clay's Cleaning Kit stands as a remarkable collaboration initiated by Dr. Clay Sherrod of the Arkansas Sky Observatory and propelled by the passion and expertise of Mike Fowler from Orange County Telescope. In the early 2000s, this product held the distinction of being a best-selling solution for optics maintenance. The Arkansas Sky Observatory set out to develop a formula and technique for cleaning various optical components, such as telescope corrector plates, refractor lenses, and eyepieces, ensuring they remained streak-free and in optimal condition. When Doc Clay's Telescope Cleaning System first made its debut on the internet and Yahoo, (http://bit.ly/3tQMCG0) It captured the enthusiasm of countless astronomy enthusiasts eager to try it for themselves. However, they soon encountered challenges in obtaining the essential materials required for this meticulous cleaning regimen. This is where Mike Fowler, formerly the OPT Manager for 16 years, came into the picture. Known for taking on ambitious projects during his free time, he dedicated himself to addressing the supply challenges. His relentless efforts made it possible for enthusiasts to access the complete set of cleaning materials needed for Doc Clay's Cleaning Kit, allowing them to preserve their optical equipment in pristine condition. Notably, in the early 2000s, this product achieved remarkable success as a best-seller, but it gradually faded from the market.
