DOB - Registration Number Sign

Ensure your property complies with NYC Department of Buildings requirements with a durable DOB Registration Number Sign. Learn who must post this sign, where it should be installed, and the applicable posting requirements for contractors and property owners under New York City regulations. What This Sign is For: A DOB Registration Number Sign identifies the licensed contractor or registrant responsible for construction, demolition, or permitted work at a job site. It provides the public, inspectors, and the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) with a visible reference to the responsible party, promoting accountability and regulatory compliance throughout the duration of the project.  Legal Requirement Explained: The New York City Department of Buildings requires certain permitted construction, demolition, and alteration projects to display identifying information for the responsible contractor or registrant. A DOB Registration Number Sign helps inspectors verify that work is being performed by an appropriately registered entity and allows the public to identify the party responsible for the project.
