Create Custom Trims in Minutes Transform your favorite fabrics into professional-looking bias tape with this all-in-one kit. Whether you are quilting, making clothes, or crafting bags, create perfectly coordinated edges every time. 5 Sizes Included Sewing Machine Foot Storage Box Simple Three-Step Process Making bias tape is fast and intuitive. Start by inserting a prepared fabric strip into the wide end of the maker. As you pull the fabric through to the narrow end, it automatically folds into a neat strip. Finally, press the folded edge with an iron as you pull to set the shape, ready for sewing or gluing. Five Sizes for Every Project This kit includes five distinct sizes to handle various binding needs, from delicate applique stems to sturdy bag handles. The makers range from 1/4 inch (6mm) to 1 inch (25mm), allowing you to choose the perfect width for your specific design. It is ideal for finishing quilt edges, creating bib borders, reinforcing clothing seams, and adding colorful details to tote bags and crafts. Frequently Asked Questions Will the presser foot fit my sewing machine? The included binder foot is designed for standard Low Shank machines. It typically fits brands like Brother, Babylock, Janome, Kenmore, and Singer. Please check your machine manual to confirm if you have a high or low shank before purchasing. Do I need to cut the fabric on the bias? For curved edges, cutting fabric strips at a 45-degree angle (true bias) allows the tape to stretch and lay flat. For straight edges, you can use straight-grain strips, though they will be less flexible. How do I start the fabric through the maker? Cut the end of your fabric strip into a point so it fits easily through the narrow hole. Pull it through using tweezers or the included awl until the wider part of the strip passes through, then attach your iron to press and pull simultaneously. Can I use these tools for leather? These makers are primarily designed for woven cotton and poly-cotton fabrics. While thin leather might pass through, the folding mechanism works best with pliable textiles.
