Dixit: Kids

Dixit: Kids is a cooperative, kid-friendly storytelling and picture-association board game where families work together to match moods to whimsical illustrations and invite rabbits to a birthday party. Quick to learn and rich in conversation, it’s a warm, replayable choice for family game night and classrooms. The party is coming—and the invitations have to be delivered in time. In Dixit: Kids, you’ll read emotions, interpret dreamy artwork, and work as a team to welcome as many guests as possible before the week runs out. This is a cooperative game built for younger players and the adults playing with them. Dixit: Kids is a very light, imagination-first experience where discussion matters more than being “right,” and every round sparks those delightful “why did you pick that?” moments. Designer: Élodie Clément, Théo Rivière, Jean-Louis Roubira Publisher: Libellud Release year: 2026 Solo mode: No Primary use case: Family game night, classrooms, playgroups Core mechanisms: cooperative play, image association, clue giving, communication, deduction Theme keywords: emotions, rabbits, invitations, birthday party, imagination, empathy Overall complexity: Very light How the Game Works Each round, one player becomes the Swift Rabbit and secretly chooses a rabbit they want to invite. They pick an illustrated card from their hand that matches that rabbit’s mood—this card is the “invitation” your team needs to deliver. Everyone else plays courier rabbits. Together, you discuss what the invitation feels like and try to deliver it to the correct rabbit. Keep inviting guests before the week ends, and you win together—making Dixit: Kids a gentle, confidence-building game that rewards listening, expressing ideas, and collaborating as a group. Why You’ll Love It Cooperative from start to finish: Everyone works toward the same goal—perfect for kids who dislike “take-that” competition. Emotion + imagination: Matching moods to illustrations naturally encourages empathy, communication, and creative thinking. Easy to teach, easy to play: A welcoming on-ramp to modern board games with a smooth, kid-friendly gameplay loop. Beautiful illustrated cards: Whimsical art that sparks conversation and makes every round feel like a mini story. High replay value: Different hands, different clues, different group interpretations—no two parties feel the same.
