Diver's Cove

DIVER'S COVE By Rachael Thompson Palos Verdes, California, 2014.  Silver halide color photograph.  Edition: Open    ABOUT THIS SERIES - PACIFIC SOLO You’ll always find Rachael Thompson by the water, where the rhythmic crashing of ocean waves punctuates the stillness of the shore. In her series Pacific Solo, Thompson pulls you into those tranquil moments with timeless scenes of one person, alone, against the vast natural monuments of California’s Pacific profile. Her photographs reveal rare opportunities to stride, paddle and dive into the landscape — with towering cliffs, impenetrable haze and jagged rocks, all to yourself.
