Distressed biplane dad hat — vintage aviation cap, gift for pilots

You know the type of hat. Not brand new. Not stiff. Not the kind you have to "break in" over six months. The kind that already looks like it's been everywhere — because the story it tells matters more than the label inside. The Distressed Biplane Dad Hat from Prop and Piston was designed for one specific person: the pilot, the aviation obsessive, the person who looks up every time something with wings passes overhead. The vintage biplane graphic isn't decoration — it's a signal. A quiet one, to the right people. The 100% cotton twill construction keeps things breathable and genuinely comfortable across a full day's wear, whether that's a Saturday fly-in at your local airfield, a cross-country road trip, or just running errands while your mind is still somewhere above 3,000 feet. The unstructured low-profile crown sits naturally without that rigid, brand-new-cap look. Six sewn eyelets and six stitched rows on the brim give it real structure where it counts, while the adjustable brass-buckle closure means it fits properly without fumbling with velcro. The distressing is the detail that makes this hat. It's not a trick or a wash effect — the brim and crown fabric carry a genuine worn character that makes this look like a cap with a history, not a cap pretending to have one. Available in Khaki, Navy, and Charcoal Grey. Each colorway works with everything from a flight jacket to a plain white tee. Because real aviators don't overthink outfits. This is one of our most-gifted aviation items — and it earns that status. It's specific enough to feel personal, wearable enough to become someone's everyday hat, and priced right for gifting without overthinking. A standout choice for student pilots, aircraft owners, airshow regulars, flight instructors, or anyone who logs hours for the love of it.
