Dining Table

Inspired by an early 19th century table from Mount Lebanon, NY, our dining table pays respect to the simple and practical carpentry of the time. It features elliptical ends, a sturdy frame. and an optional drawer. Made in Bradford, VT, from solid American Cherry or Black Walnut, the legs and side skirts are proudly made with single pieces of wood.  The hand-rubbed finish uses raw linseed oil on the frame and a beeswax-linseed oil blend for the table top. Cherry tables will darken with age as the tannins oxidize, while Walnut tables will lighten slightly. The table is made for the long term - the minimal, unstained, un-lacquered finish allows for easy repair with a simple hand sanding and re-application of linseed oil.
