Dried-out electrolytic capacitors, cracked solder joints, and degraded transistors can turn a first power-up into an expensive disaster. A dim bulb tester wired in series acts as a current limiter — if something is shorted, the bulb glows bright and soaks up the current, giving you a clear visual warning before any damage is done. Most dim bulb testers on the market are bare-bones DIY affairs — exposed sockets, loose wiring, and no enclosure. The ATO Audio Dim Bulb Tester is purpose-built with a clean, branded enclosure, integrated switch, and front-mounted outlet so it's ready to use right out of the box. It belongs on a professional workbench. ⚡ Safety Note: This device is intended for use by experienced technicians and hobbyists who are knowledgeable about AC mains voltage. Always follow proper electrical safety practices. Bulb operates at mains voltage during use.
