Formulated to complement doctor-recommended diet and lifestyle changes.*  Dihydroberberine SR 150mg is a sustained-release dietary supplement featuring GlucoVantage® dihydroberberine, a highly bioavailable form of berberine. Once absorbed by the intestine, dihydroberberine rapidly converts to berberine in blood.1 Berberine has been widely studied in pre-clinical and clinical studies. It’s ability to positively affect glucose balance, lipid metabolism and blood vessel health is attributed to multiple actions. For example: Glucose Balance. Results from pre-clinical studies indicate berberine activates a key biochemical pathway – the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway – that plays a role in glucose uptake by tissues.2 Lipid Metabolism. Results from pre-clinical studies indicate berberine promotes healthy cholesterol metabolism by a variety of actions. First, it upregulates LDL-receptors on liver cells that shuttle cholesterol out of the blood and into cells. Berberine inhibits intestinal cholesterol absorption and increases excretion as well as provides antioxidant defense. By activating AMPK, it also increases fatty acid oxidation (burning) and decreases fatty acid synthesis.3 Blood Vessel Function. Results from pre-clinical studies indicate berberine promotes healthy endothelial function, an action attributed in part to its ability to reduce oxidative stress.4 As a highly bioavailable form of berberine, Dihydroberberine SR may help maintain healthy blood glucose and lipid levels in the normal range while supporting vascular health.* Features Easy-to-swallow tablets No salt, sugar, starch, artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or preservatives Gluten-free Vegan/Vegetarian Free of common allergens (milk, egg, fish, shellfish, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and wheat) Sustained release (5-7 hours)   Frequently Asked Questions What can you expect?
