What are the secrets Cash is keeping herself? Growing up in the trenches of New Orleans, the main focus was survival. After being involved in a traumatic experience at the young age of fifteen, Cashmere (Cash) Burnada was thrown out by her mother and forced to grow up quickly. She saw at an early age what it was like to get it out the mud to make ends meet. She did what she had to in order to provide for herself and her daughter, Mulani Burnada, even if that meant making illegal decisions and bending the rules. When she came close to serving federal prison time, she changed her life around to protect herself and her family. Cash quickly realizes her transition will be much tougher than she imagines as unexpected challenges arise, family drama transpires, and her past follows. Her toxic ex, Raymond (Ace) Brown, is always there to lend a helping hand, but it always comes with a hefty price. She tries to get rid of him for good, only to find them both needing each other when shit gets tough. Cash tries her hardest to keep her life together. In the midst of that, she's kept busy by her teenage son, Tyrese Burnada, who is trickling down the wrong path, her five-year-old daughter Chloe, who's battling a rare brain condition, toxic relationships, her rebellious teenage daughter Mulani, who's spiraling out of control, and disloyal family with long-kept family secrets, not to mention Cash is no saint herself. When her world starts crumbling and money gets tight, she quickly becomes overwhelmed and stressed. She finds herself in a bind as her lies, manipulation, and financial troubles catch up with her. How will Cash overcome her financial troubles? Will she revert to her old survival tactics that jeopardize her relationships with close family and friends? Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for this ferocious ride the Burnada family will take you on.
