Difficulty of Being Unfaithful- French Release

This original French theatrical poster for "La difficulté d'être Infidèle..." (The Difficulty of Being Unfaithful) showcases the playful spirit of early 1960s French romantic comedy. The clever composition centers on a white bedsheet serving as both literal and metaphorical canvas, upon which the elegant script title unfolds while a glamorous woman in white reclines provocatively above. The film, based on an idea by Marc Camoletti (who would later achieve international fame with "Boeing Boeing"), featured cinematography by the legendary Raoul Coutard, known for his groundbreaking work with Godard and Truffaut. Distributed by COCINOR and printed by Ateliers Lalande, this Moyenne format poster captures the sophisticated yet lighthearted approach to romantic entanglements that characterized French bourgeois comedies of the era. A charming example of French cinema advertising from the golden age of theatrical poster art, this piece offers both visual appeal and historical interest for collectors of Continental film memorabilia.
