Dianthus Dunetti

If your garden is calling for a pop of dramatic, rich color, this is the plant for you. 'Dunetti' is a vigorous Sweet William that sets itself apart from its pastel cousins with dense clusters of deep, striking crimson-red flowers. It’s a classic must-have for the cottage garden, where its 18- to 24-inch stems provide a beautiful focal point and a striking contrast to other early summer bloomers. Those tall, sturdy stems also make it an exceptional, eye-catching cut flower. Wonderfully easy to grow, 'Dunetti' is a biennial or short-lived perennial that is hardy in zones 3-9 and often returns for several years. It's so vigorous it can even bloom just three months after sowing. Gardeners have success both starting it indoors and sowing it directly in the garden—we recommend trying both to see what your garden prefers. Beyond its beauty, it's a hardworking plant that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds while being fully deer resistant.
