Diamax Cyclone Flat Resin HEX Cup Wheel | Fine, Medium, Course

Diamax Cyclone Hex Flat Resin Cup Wheel Series The Diamax Cyclone Hex Flat Resin Cup Wheel series is a premium line of diamond‑impregnated grinding and shaping wheels engineered for professionals working with natural stone and engineered surfacing materials such as granite, quartzite, ultra‑compact surfaces, and other hard composites. Designed with a flat 90° resin surface and a rugged hex pattern, these wheels provide smoother feel and enhanced control during grinding tasks compared to traditional cup wheels. Available in multiple grit levels — CFRCW40 (coarse), CFRCW4M (medium), and CFRCW4F (fine) — this variant group offers progressive material removal and finish quality to match different stages of surface preparation, shaping, and finishing. Each wheel uses an M18/5/8″‑11 threaded arbor that fits standard angle grinders and air polishers, allowing easy integration into shop setups and jobsite tool kits. Key Features Hex Flat Resin Diamond Surface Diamond‑impregnated resin bond for smooth, controlled grinding Enhanced resin surface contact for consistent cutting feel and longer life Works on high‑hardness materials such as granite and engineered stone Flat 90° Profile Provides stable contact with stone surfaces Ideal for corner shaping, blending, and edge refinement without gouging Flat surface improves operator control during precision work Multiple Grit Options Coarse (CFRCW40) — aggressive material removal for rough shaping and stock removal Medium (CFRCW4M) — balanced grind for intermediate surface preparation Fine (CFRCW4F) — smoother finish for final grinding before polishing Offers a structured workflow from rapid stock removal to refined preparation Wet or Dry Use Engineered to perform in both wet and dry conditions, increasing versatility Wet operation can help reduce dust and extend wheel life in demanding jobs Standard Threaded Arbor 5/8″‑11 (M18x2) threaded attachment fits common angle grinders and pneumatic tools Allows easy mounting and quick wheel changes Typical Uses Surface preparation: Efficient removal of high spots, rough grinding of stone slabs, and initial shaping before polishing. Edge shaping: Flat 90° profile makes it useful for defining or blending edges on stone countertops and architectural features. Grinding transitions: Medium and fine grits help smooth transitions between coarse grinding and finishing. Jobsite versatility: Suitable for both field and shop use with angle grinders, air polishers, and other handheld tools. Variant Group Overview Variant Diameter Grit Level Best For CFRCW40 4″ Coarse (30) Rapid material removal, aggressive shaping CFRCW4M 4″ Medium (50/60) Balanced cut and surface prep CFRCW4F 4″ Fine (80/100) Smoother finish prep before polishing Every variant retains the same hex flat resin diamond construction and 5/8″‑11 threaded connection, ensuring consistent mounting and performance across grit progressions. Performance Tips Start coarse for material removal or shaping tasks, then move to medium and fine grits for refinement before polishing. Wet use when possible on dust‑sensitive sites to help prolong wheel life and minimize airborne silica. Use appropriate safety gear (eye protection, respirator) due to fine stone dust during dry grinding.
