Originally from England, John Walker now divides his time between Boston and Maine. He has bee called one of the best abstract painters of the past 50 years. Each impression of "Hollyhocks" exhibits variation as Walker painted each green stalk and red bloom by hand for all 224 in the edition, printed in collaboration with James Stroud, of Center Street Studio, Milton Massachusetts.
