DI DI MAU

DI DI MAU City Series Mix Volume 25 (Day Mix) Lexdray/Mixcrate City Series Mix Competition Winner Born in Toronto, Canada, from Vietnamese parents, Di Di Mau is proud of both his Vietnamese roots and his hometown. Dabbling in music from a young age, Di Di Mau jumped from piano to guitar, where he first developed his love for music, playing and performing in punk, jazz, and indie pop bands while in high school. In University, Di Di Mau began getting into hip-hop and electronic music, spurred on by the people he met at a record store next to his campus. During a trip to to San Francisco, a close friend gave him a pair of turntables. After that, everything changed. Di Di Mau began to collect records by the hundreds and learned to make all sorts of weird sounds while using them. Combining his love for music with his past in electronics and guitar building, he's able to make music from piles of records that surround his room, in addition to the instruments and the weird contraptions he builds. Constantly on the hunt for new records, equipment and anything that can be turned into music, Di Di Mau continues to share his love of music through the songs he writes and the mixtapes he creates.
