DHC-2 Beaver USAF airplane model. The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single-engine, high-wing propeller-driven short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft developed and manufactured by de Havilland Canada. It has been primarily operated as a bush plane and used for a wide variety of utility roles, such as cargo and passenger hauling, crop-dusting and civil aviation duties. Several DHC-2s are still in CAP service for search and rescue operations. The Beaver's versatility and performance make it the preferred aircraft of bush pilots servicing remote locations in North America.
