Dexter Pilot Pro Black/ Grey Bowling Shoes

Built for comfort, control and player development. Powered by SlidePilot Technology. The Pilot Pro is designed for bowlers looking to improve their footwork, increase their consistency and build greater confidence at the line. The Pilot Pro is a lightweight athletic comfort shoe with our innovative SlidePilot slide sole integrated into the shoe. It's more than just a comfy bowling shoe, it's a shoe designed to actively help you develop a smoother, straighter and more repeatable slide. The Pilot Pro utilizes our proprietary SlidePilot technology, a unique two-zone slide sole that helps your foot naturally finish the approach. The traditional slide surfaces provide little directional guidance, allowing the foot to slide. SlidePilot does it differently. The sole separates the sliding surface into two functional friction zones, each affecting the foot's movement during contact and movement on the approach. The lateral side has a high friction zone for more resistance at the outer edge of the foot. This means a smoother start to the slide, a more controlled slide start instead of the foot moving too freely. On the medial side a low friction zone reduces resistance so the inside of the foot moves more easily. The combined effect of the counter friction characteristics causes the foot to rotate forward and to rest in a more linear sliding posture. Instead of a simple straight division between the two surfaces, SlidePilot uses a deliberately curved transition between the friction zones. The geometry and difference in surface resistance provide a subtle guiding effect as the foot travels through the slide, nudging the sliding foot into a more consistent forward orientation. This results in a sole that slides, but allows the bowler a more controlled, repeatable glide. “The secret is the consistency in the approach to developing players. It’s a subtle shift in foot position, direction of slide, balance or timing that can affect the whole delivery. The Pilot Pro was designed to assist bowlers in improving footwork and create more repeatable movement patterns, by helping to guide the slide. This means that the Pilot Pro is especially suitable for bowlers who are keen to develop their technique and are looking for shoes to develop, not just the minimum sliding performance. Comfortable from tip-off to final buzzer Performance is the start of comfort. The Pilot Pro has a lightweight athletic textile upper that is extremely breathable and offers a comfortable, supportive fit without the weight of traditional bowling shoes. It is breathable so air can flow around the foot. This will help to keep the shoe cooler and more comfortable through long practice sessions, league nites and long days at the lanes. Plus, the Pilot Pro's athletic-inspired build gives a familiar feel underfoot. The upper is designed to work with your foot as it moves naturally, whilst giving you the support you need through the approach. A traditional lace-up closure system provides a customizable fit across the foot to help establish a locked in platform as the bowler moves through the delivery. Light Weight EVA Cushioning The midsole is made from EVA and provides a light cushion underfoot that absorbs impact as you walk, approach and release. The EVA provides the Pilot Pro with a nice balance of cushioning and weight, so it’s comfortable but not too heavy or clunky. The result is an athletic platform built to move time and time again, and to wear in over time. Heel Traction Control A rubber traction heel on the forefoot system of the SlidePilot provides added grip and control you can count on. The heel is important in that it controls the movement and stability of the final steps of the approach. The sliding action of the shoe is complemented by the rubber traction surface at the front which provides the braking and control. The SlidePilot sole and traction heel are designed as a balanced platform, based on the complete motion of the sliding foot from contact to slide to the final release position. Designed for Better Habits The Pilot Pro is built on one simple thought – better equipment can help players move more consistently. The SlidePilot system is designed to give you more control and a smoother slide, and to guide your foot into a more straight ahead position. The system could help bowlers achieve a more stable finish and a more repeatable delivery by promoting better alignment and reducing extraneous lateral movement. Better slide mechanics may also help to reduce unnecessary twisting and loading through the lower body, by encouraging the foot, ankle and knee to move in a more natural forward direction during the slide. These slight improvements in movement can contribute to more surety at the line for bowlers working on their game. Predictable slide allows you to work on timing, balance, release and accuracy rather than fighting the unpredictable movement of your feet. Whether you’re learning the basics, fine-tuning your game or just looking for an athletic bowling shoe with technology built for consistency, the Pilot Pro gives you a platform built to help you move forward. Comfy. Controlled. Repetitive. The Pilot Pro is a bowling shoe designed to make you feel more confident in your movement.
