Destination Self

Who Would You Be Without the Lies? A thirty-something Tiina watches her middle-class dream life collapse under the weight of burnout. Hitting rock bottom reveals a hard truth: everything had been built on lies disguised as reality. Determined to uncover her true self, Tiina makes a bold break from the life she once knew. Her intense journey of growth takes her from Finnish Lapland to Nepal, and into the fast-paced start-up scenes of Helsinki and London. Each location becomes a mirror, reflecting pieces of her identity—and ultimately changing everything. Through the growing pains, old traumas and grief begin to heal, and a new understanding gently opens both her mind and heart. This candid and compassionate memoir offers solidarity and hope. It reminds us that we can love ourselves whole. And when we let go of the lies that limit us, we step into an authentic life—a life where we are always home. Tiina Rantakokko (b. 1979, M.Sc. in Economics) is a startup entrepreneur, transformational coach, and seeker of truth, originally from Finnish Lapland. She has worked for over two decades as an international business professional, living in four different countries. Destination Self is her debut work.
