The Despina's Anemone folk embroidery PDF pattern originates in a stunning tablecloth a friend of mine shared with me. Her mother, Despina, stitched it for her prika, a collection of embroidered tablecloths, cushion covers, and other handmade textiles that family members gift to a Greek bride so she can beautify her new home, a tradition which dates back centuries in Greece. Finished size (exclusive of hemming): 7 x 16" Stitch count: 89 x 209sts/4432 cross stitches/7357 backstitches Avlea Folk Embroidery brings ancient beauty to the modern world with gorgeous folk embroidery kits and patterns of the finest quality. Designed by Krista West and handmade in our Oregon workshop, our kits provide a wonderful folk embroidery stitching experience for the beginner or experienced crafter.
