Hmong Mountain Shield Altar Mat - 12"x18"

Keep your sacred instruments safe and grounded with our custom-designed Hmong Altar Mat. Combining the durability of modern neoprene with the timeless spirituality of Paj Ntaub artistry, this mat is essential for any Shaman or cultural practitioner who values both tradition and practicality. More than just a beautiful design, every element of this mat carries deep spiritual intention. The "Mountain" Frame (Npoo Roob) features a classic triangular Paj Ntaub motif representing the sacred mountains where spirits reside and shamans travel. This border serves as a spiritual fence, creating a consecrated space to ward off negative energy and keep spirits focused within your work area. Complementing this protection is the rich Deep Blue Canvas (Xiav/Ntsuab), a homage to traditional indigo dyes symbolizing the sky and the depth of the spirit world. This calm, contrasting background ensures your Kuam and Txiab Neeb stand out visually, bringing clarity and focus to every ceremony. The Altar Mat is made of high-quality neoprene specifically to protect your most precious tools. Unlike hard wooden boards or thin cloths, the soft and cushioned core absorbs impact to prevent chipping, cracking, or dulling when you cast your Kuam or set down heavy metal instruments. Practicality meets performance with the water and stain-resistant surface, repelling moisture and making it easy to wipe clean.
