The Desert Blues

16x20 Original Acrylic Painting Part of the “Desert Hues” Collection “The Desert Blues” is the painting that sparked the entire Desert Hues collection. Born from a deep love of cowboys, Western heritage, and the rugged beauty of Oklahoma, this piece captures a lone rider surveying the desert plains. The bold turquoise sky contrasts against fiery earth tones, while the scattered desert plants reflect the resilience of the land. There’s a quiet strength in the figure—an ode to solitude, grit, and the timeless bond between rider and horse. This work became the foundation of the series, inspiring the vibrant colors, themes, and energy that define the collection.
