Desert Rose Sample

The scent The artist The inspiration This is a 2 ml spray sample. Find the full bottle here.  Desert Rose pulls both the iconic flower and the arid landscape of its name into a soft, warm focus. We often see rose dressed up in weighty base notes and sweets, but Desert Rose is unencumbered by that usual cast of characters. Instead, we get a rose that perfectly reflects Dame's mission to create modern American perfumes. It's an airy, earthy, rose surrounded by a bouquet of flowers that feel as though they were plucked from the hot earth only moments before. Notes include Turkish rose otto, Damascena Rose, peach, Sicilian lemon, Egyptian jasmine, geranium, carnation, heliotrope, sandalwood, musk, amber, and vanilla. Dame Perfumery Scottsdale is the creation of Jeffrey Dame, a veteran of the fragrance industry. He collaborates on the project with his son, Cullen, a budding scent aficionado and artist, with whom he has built a new line of modern American perfumes. The new Dame Perfumery Scottsdale, opening soon, will be a friendly, social place to explore perfume in Scottsdale, Arizona. Find out more about Dame Perfumery Scottsdale in our BLOG. Desert Rose was inspired by the visual beauty of the Desert Rose flower, pictured on the bottle, and the olfactory beauty of the Turkish and Damascena roses.
