Dermathod Revive Triple Action Mask

DESCRIPTION Glacial water, Cica and Ceramide NP make this a go-to sheet mask for skin recovery.  The Revive Triple Action Mask quickly reduces skin temperature, while hydrating the skin, and strengthening the barrier.  Perfect for post chemical peels, laser, waxing, or skin in need of barrier support.  Here are some of the ingredient highlights of this mask: Glacial water, the pristine liquid frozen in glaciers for millennia, has recently gained traction in the skincare world. Glacial water is naturally filtered through layers of ice and rock, resulting in exceptionally low levels of impurities and contaminants. This makes it a potentially appealing choice for those seeking a clean, gentle skincare base.  While not as mineral-rich as seawater, glacial water can contain trace amounts of minerals like calcium, magnesium, and silica. These minerals may offer some antioxidant and hydrating benefits. Glycerin remains a quiet powerhouse in the world of skincare. This humectant, a naturally occurring compound found in plants and animals, offers a spectrum of benefits. It is a moisture magnet and has the exceptional ability to attract and retain moisture. It acts like a sponge, drawing water from the deeper layers of the skin and the environment, providing sustained hydration and combating dryness.  By enhancing moisture retention, glycerin helps strengthen the skin's natural barrier. This fortified barrier protects against environmental aggressors and irritants, leading to calmer, healthier skin. The increased hydration provided by glycerin helps plump up the skin, visibly reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Glycerin is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It can help soothe redness and irritation, including those associated with breakouts. Additionally, it has the ability to regulate sebum production which may offer some benefits for individuals with oily skin. Sea Daffodil (Pancratium Maritimum) extract targets the production of melanin. Studies suggest it inhibits the key enzyme involved in melanin synthesis, leading to a visible reduction in hyperpigmentation and dark spots. In addition, it directly inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, another enzyme essential for melanin production. This dual-pronged approach further enhances its skin-lightening efficacy, offering effective solutions for uneven skin tone and pigmentation concerns. Pancratium maritimum extract is rich in natural antioxidants, including phenolic compounds and flavonoids. These powerful molecules scavenge free radicals, the damaging reactive oxygen species that contribute to premature aging and skin damage. By neutralizing these free radicals, the extract protects the skin from oxidative stress, preserving its youthful glow and resilience. Free radicals, besides causing general damage, can also degrade collagen, the protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. Pancratium maritimum extract's antioxidant activity helps protect collagen from this degradation, promoting firmer, smoother skin and minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
