Deps Head Lock Football Jig

The "Headlock Jig," characterized by its significantly recessed eye position, short shank, and curved point hook, is a football jig that entices slow-moving bass to bite with its unique standing action and low-trajectory bottom bumping. The wide design prevents it from tipping over, and the line eye set up at the rear of the football head allows it to stand upright with the head tip as a pivot point, moving only the trailer indefinitely. This allows you to continuously entice pinpoints with minimal movement, while the low-trajectory bottom bumping that hugs the ground elicits reaction bites. Furthermore, it boasts high obstacle avoidance performance, clearing snags common in riprap and reefs by having the head move upward rather than forward. The curved point and short shank hook, which penetrates deeply and is less likely to let go, provides high-level performance in tough conditions and when the bass are taking short bites. The stable, wide head and the rearward-offset line eye create a standing action that allows you to move the trailer significantly with even slight shaking, enabling you to target pinpoint locations with minimal travel distance. The significantly recessed line eye and the water resistance it receives on the front of the head create a low-trajectory bottom-bumping action that closely mimics fleeing crustaceans. In rocky areas such as artificial reefs and riprap, where the jig head often gets caught on the bottom, the Headlock Jig's significantly retracted eye position allows it to move upwards, resulting in a high success rate in avoiding snags. When retrieved slowly along the bottom, it exhibits a standing action due to the undulations of the bottom, mimicking the movement of a crayfish retreating in a threatening manner. The wire diameter allows it to penetrate firmly even with minimal force, and the curved point and short shank reduce the chance of the fish getting away, allowing it to hook the bass's upper jaw with a scooping motion. The wide, football-shaped head, ideally suited for bottom contact, maintains a stable stance to prevent tipping over and enhances the ability to sense the ground beneath the surface. Equipped with a 0.35mm diameter "SPRING WIRE V-SHAPE WEED GUARD" that minimizes water resistance and doesn't interfere with the lure's natural movement, this weedless design allows you to target structures tightly. When using, spread the wire to the left and right to form a V shape, and adjust the angle forward and backward depending on the weeds and structure. *Caution: Repeatedly adjusting the angle of the guard may cause it to break easily.
