The legend of Frankenstein gets a provocative modern update in the stylishly disturbing new film from indie horror master Larry Fessenden. Suffering from PTSD following his stint as an army medic, Henry (David Call) now works feverishly in his Brooklyn laboratory to forget the death he witnessed overseas by creating life in the form of a man cobbled together from body parts. After procuring a brain from an unwitting victim, his creation—Adam (Alex Breaux)—is born. But it soon seems that giving life to Adam was the easy part; teaching him how to live in a dark and troubled world may be perilous. A complex, emotionally shattering tale about what it means to be human, Depraved brings Mary Shelley’s immortal fable fully into the 21st century. directed by: Larry Fessenden starring: David Call, Joshua Leonard, Alex Breaux, Ana Cruz Kayne, Owen Campbell, Chloë Levine, Larry Fessenden 2019 / 114 min / 2.39:1 / English DTS-HD MA 5.1 Additional info: 2-disc Set: 4K Ultra HD / Region A Blu-ray 4K UHD Presentation of the film with HDR New audio commentary with filmmaker Larry Fessenden, moderated by OCN Distribution's Justin LaLiberty New audio commentary with film critic Simon Abrams Making Frankenstein in a Brooklyn Loft – a feature length documentary on the making of Depraved The Journey to Day One — an archival interview with Larry Fessenden Acting Adam — an archival interview with actor Adam Breaux A Conversation on Makeup — an archival interview with make-up artists Peter Gerner and Brian Spears Building the Visuals of Depraved — an archival featurette featuring Fessenden and the camera crew of Depraved Booklet with new writing by film critic Brandon Streussnig and film historian Craig Ian Mann Theatrical Trailer English SDH subtitles
