The title is a statement of practice as much as aesthetic. Molly Supplee works toward the essential—organic lines, natural hues, soft shapes that create a cohesive whole without overworking the surface. The Maryland-based artist finds beauty in the imperfect, and that shows. Seeking Simplicity is framed in a rustic walnut floater, a presentation that honors the restraint of the work itself. It's art for the person who knows that less, done right, is always more.
