Denim & Lace Patch Jacket Top

Denim, but make it dreamy. This denim and lace patch jacket top is the kind of piece that stops people mid-scroll. Alternating panels of medium wash denim and delicate white lace-textured fabric — in a soft paisley and floral pattern — are sewn together in a classic jacket silhouette that works as a standalone top or an open layer. The contrast between the structured denim and the delicate lace creates a visual tension that feels genuinely artisan: tough and soft, casual and romantic, all at once. A classic denim collar, button-front closure, and chest patch pockets keep the construction grounded in familiar jacket territory. The relaxed, oversized fit does the rest — comfortable, effortless, and endlessly layerable. At Beach Gypsy, we love pieces that blur the line between top and jacket, casual and statement. This one does it beautifully. For a contrast approach, button it closed and wear it as a standalone top over straight-leg trousers or a midi skirt. The lace panels read as feminine and romantic when the jacket is worn closed, making it versatile enough to take from a casual daytime look to a more dressed-up evening outfit with a simple swap of bottoms and shoes. The denim multi palette pairs naturally with white, cream, light grey, and warm neutrals — as well as deeper indigo and dark wash denim for a tonal layered look. Materials & Care The jacket top features patchwork panels of structured denim and lace-textured fabric in a paisley and floral pattern. Because this garment combines two distinct fabric types, always check and follow the care label on your individual piece. As a general guide for mixed-fabric constructions, a cold gentle or delicate cycle — or hand washing — helps preserve both the denim panels and the delicate lace-textured sections. Lay flat or hang to dry to maintain shape and prevent shrinkage. Why You'll Love It The denim-and-lace combination gives this piece a visual complexity that most jackets simply don't have. It's the kind of garment that looks like it took effort to put together — but actually does the work for you. The relaxed, oversized cut accommodates layering underneath while remaining comfortable worn on its own, and the dual-purpose top-or-jacket design means you get genuine versatility from a single piece. At $99.99, it's a wardrobe investment that earns its keep every time you reach for it. Yes — this piece is specifically designed for dual-purpose wear. Button it closed to wear as a standalone top, or leave it open and layer it over a fitted tee as a jacket. Both looks are shown in the product images. How does this fit — does it run true to size? The silhouette is relaxed and oversized. If you prefer a closer fit, consider sizing down. If you plan to layer thicker pieces underneath, your regular size should work well. The roomy cut is designed to accommodate comfortable layering without adding bulk. What does "denim multi" mean for this piece? Denim multi refers to the mixed patchwork construction — alternating panels of medium wash structured denim and white/grey lace-textured fabric in a soft paisley and floral pattern. The result is a tonal blue-and-white colorway with significant texture variation between panels. What is the lace panel fabric — is it actual lace? The lace-textured panels have a delicate, open-weave appearance in a soft white/grey paisley and floral pattern. They create a lace-like visual effect against the structured denim panels. For specific fiber content, refer to the care label on your individual garment. How do I care for the lace panels on this garment? Because this garment combines denim and lace-textured panels, always follow the care label on your individual piece. As a general guide for mixed-fabric garments, a cold gentle or delicate cycle — or hand washing — helps preserve both fabric types. Lay flat or hang to dry. Avoid high heat in the dryer to protect the lace-textured sections. What outfits does this jacket top work best with? It's incredibly versatile. Wear it open over a white tee with wide-leg denim for a tonal denim-on-denim look, or button it closed over straight-leg trousers or a midi skirt for a more polished outfit. The denim multi palette pairs naturally with white, cream, light grey, warm neutrals, and deeper indigo denim. Finish with sneakers for casual, or ankle boots for a more elevated look. Is this a good gift? Absolutely. This jacket top is a thoughtful, unique gift for anyone who loves boho fashion, artisan denim, or coastal style. It arrives from our boutique in downtown Berlin, MD — just minutes from Ocean City — and feels like a curated, special find rather than something off a mass-market shelf.
