Dendrobium Burana Sundae - ‘Variegata'

Introducing the stunning Dendrobium Burana Sundae - a mesmerizing orchid hybrid that combines the best traits of its parentage, Dendrobium Kaneohe Beauty and Dendrobium Burana Sunshine. With its striking variegated leaves adorned in lush greens and whites, this orchid is a true feast for the eyes. But its beauty doesn't stop there. The Dendrobium Burana Sundae boasts delicate flowers in hues of green and pink, delicately edged in creamy white. Each bloom is a testament to the meticulous breeding behind this exceptional hybrid. One of the remarkable qualities of the Dendrobium Burana Sundae is its propensity for free flowering and longevity. You'll be treated to an abundance of blooms that last for weeks, bringing continuous joy to any space they inhabit. For those looking to cultivate this botanical wonder, here are some tips to ensure its success: Light: Provide bright, indirect light for optimum growth. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may scorch the delicate leaves. Temperature: Keep the orchid in moderate temperatures, ideally between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C) during the day, and slightly cooler at night. Humidity: Dendrobiums thrive in humid environments. Maintain humidity levels around 50% to 70%. Placing a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles beneath the orchid can help increase moisture levels. Watering: Water the orchid thoroughly when the potting mix feels dry to the touch, typically every 7-10 days. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogged roots, which can lead to rot. Fertilization: Feed the orchid with a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring to fall). Reduce or cease fertilization during the dormant winter months. Repotting: Repot the Dendrobium Burana Sundae every 2-3 years or when the potting mix begins to break down. Use a well-draining orchid mix composed of bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite. This is a blooming size imported bare root orchid division; newly repotted in a 4" pot; about 1 to 2 years to bloom; Grown from seed; Limited! With proper care and attention, your Dendrobium Burana Sundae will reward you with its enchanting beauty and enduring charm, making it a delightful addition to any orchid collection or as a memorable gift for plant enthusiasts.
