DENAFRIPS HYPERION 12TH POWERAMP

The DENAFRIPS HYPERION 12TH POWERAMP has been engineered for music enthusiasts who appreciate the control, transparency and musical authority that only a dedicated power amplifier can provide. Designed as a fully balanced, fully discrete stereo amplifier, the HYPERION delivers effortless performance while preserving the natural character of every source component and preamplifier placed before it. Operating in a carefully engineered Class AB topology, the HYPERION combines the musical refinement often associated with Class A designs with the efficiency, dynamic capability and loudspeaker control required for real-world listening. The result is an amplifier that reproduces music with exceptional clarity, natural tonal balance and confident authority across a wide variety of loudspeaker designs. Every aspect of the HYPERION has been designed to maintain signal integrity from input to output. Its true balanced amplifier architecture amplifies both the positive and negative halves of the incoming signal independently, contributing to lower noise, improved channel separation and exceptional stereo imaging. Whether reproducing intimate acoustic recordings or demanding orchestral performances, the amplifier delivers a composed, effortless presentation that remains engaging at every listening level. Supporting this performance is a substantial linear power supply centred around a custom-designed 300VA copper-shielded transformer, high-speed Schottky rectification and an impressive 147,600µF reservoir capacitor bank. This generous power architecture provides exceptional current delivery and outstanding stability during demanding musical passages, allowing the amplifier to maintain composure even during rapid dynamic swings. Delivering a conservative 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 120 watts into 4 ohms with both channels driven, the HYPERION offers the control and refinement required for serious two-channel audio systems while remaining remarkably transparent to the music itself. Highlights Reference Class AB Performance The HYPERION 12TH has been engineered to deliver the authority, transparency and control expected from a dedicated high-performance stereo power amplifier. Its fully balanced Class AB design combines musical refinement with the current delivery required to confidently drive a wide range of loudspeakers. Fully Balanced Discrete Amplifier Design A true balanced, fully discrete amplifier topology preserves signal integrity while reducing unwanted noise and improving channel separation. The result is a spacious soundstage, precise imaging and exceptional tonal accuracy across every genre of music. Powerful Linear Power Supply At the heart of the HYPERION is a substantial low-noise linear power supply featuring a custom 300VA copper-shielded transformer and a generous 147,600µF capacitor bank. This robust power architecture provides exceptional current reserves for effortless dynamics and outstanding loudspeaker control. Effortless Musical Authority Whether reproducing delicate acoustic performances or demanding orchestral recordings, the HYPERION maintains excellent composure, delivering clean transient response, convincing bass control and natural dynamic expression without sounding strained. Designed for High-End Two-Channel Systems The HYPERION integrates seamlessly with premium preamplifiers, DACs and source components, providing the stable, transparent amplification required to unlock the full performance of a serious HiFi system. Design & Engineering Fully Balanced Class AB Topology The HYPERION employs a fully discrete, fully balanced Class AB amplifier architecture designed to maximise linearity while preserving the natural timing and tonal balance of every recording. This carefully engineered design delivers outstanding transparency without sacrificing musical engagement. High-Current Power Architecture A custom 300VA copper-shielded transformer works alongside high-speed Schottky rectifiers and a substantial 147,600µF capacitor bank to provide exceptional current delivery and excellent voltage stability during demanding musical passages. Discrete Component Construction Rather than relying on integrated amplifier modules, the HYPERION uses carefully selected discrete components throughout its signal path. This approach provides greater control over circuit optimisation while supporting long-term reliability and consistent performance. Low-Noise Engineering Every stage of the amplifier has been designed to minimise electrical interference and preserve signal purity. The balanced circuit layout, precision component selection and carefully engineered grounding contribute to a remarkably quiet background and excellent stereo separation. Precision CNC Aluminium Chassis The precision-machined aluminium enclosure provides outstanding mechanical rigidity while helping shield sensitive circuitry from external interference. Its understated industrial design complements the rest of the DENAFRIPS reference component range. RockOnAV's Take The HYPERION 12TH proves that exceptional power amplification is about much more than output ratings alone. While its specifications are impressive, what stands out most is the amplifier's ability to deliver music with effortless authority, natural balance and exceptional composure across every listening level. What impressed us most is the HYPERION's combination of refinement and control. It presents vocals with remarkable clarity, maintains excellent bass definition and produces a spacious, well-focused soundstage without ever sounding aggressive or clinical. Instead, it allows recordings to breathe naturally while maintaining complete confidence during complex musical passages. For enthusiasts building a premium separates system, the HYPERION 12TH provides an outstanding foundation that pairs beautifully with high-end preamplifiers, premium DACs and quality loudspeakers, offering the transparency and current capability expected from a serious audiophile power amplifier. Who It's For The DENAFRIPS HYPERION 12TH POWERAMP is designed for music enthusiasts building dedicated two-channel systems with separate preamplifiers and premium source components. It is ideally suited to listeners seeking greater loudspeaker control, improved dynamic performance and the refinement that only a dedicated high-quality power amplifier can deliver.
